A Quintessential Yoga Vasishtha
In Yoga Vasishtha, a classic text on nondual perception, the ancient rishi, Vasishtha, utilizes a multitude of stories, both direct and symbolic, to lead the young avatar, Sri Ramachandra, through the last vestiges of the mayic veil of ignorance. This subtle, delicate arena of teachings takes Sri Ram from intellectual knowledge to realization and abidance in the nondual Self, freeing Him from doubt about the nature of Reality and any further attachment to the dreamlike experience of relative existence. Babaji's manuscript, A Quintessential Yoga Vasishtha, selects a cross section of Lord Vasishtha's powerful stories and examines them in the light of the various philosophical systems underlying them. Further, Babaji maps out these stories and their intended lessons with the creation of a host of charts that the reader can refer to while studying the stories.
