Footfalls of the Seers, Storyboarding the Scriptures
Our contemporary society is intensely visual. Further, many people have not learned the art of diving deeply into scripture or how to follow the sutra, the thread of a teaching, from verse to verse, chapter to chapter. In recent years, Babaji has been creating charts depicting the special teachings found in the Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Vasishtha, Vivekachudamani (Crest Jewel of Discrimination), Tantra, Yoga Sutras, and also the neo-Vedanta found in the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda. What has emerged from this endeavor is a comprehensive and integrated tool for transmitting the wisdom of the Indian Seers, ancient and modern. These charts, "storyboards," have captivated students at Babaji's classes, who report a deeper understanding of the teachings and their application. At the insistence of SRV students, Footfalls of the Seers, is planned to be a large format book of these storyboards with commentary, arranged according to scripture or philosophical perspective.
